About

Irish songwriter with a taste for the strange, prone to musing and laments – with narrative-driven lyrics, typical of the Irish tradition.
Cutting his teeth in Berlin’s thriving folk scene, first album, The Prick & The Petal – a concept album about star-crossed lovers in a desolate Ireland – was released independently in 2020, showcased at Liverpool Irish Fest, and lauded by leading German Alt Mag, Plattentests.
This sophomore release, Solip, is a step forward in artistry and songwriting, with darker more experimental tones – bodhrán full of pennies, Japanese shamisen, banjo bow giving rise to a brooding menace, relieved by virtuoso violins, cellos, and choir.
The album was embarked upon following the death of two close friends of Conor Kilkelly, and addresses the stages of grief, mania, and heart-ache that accompany times of transition.
Release: April 2026
